Referees' projects
The tournament is a great opportunity for national and regional handball federations to support the development of future international referees. Thanks to the projects focused on training and mentoring, each year many talented referees gain valuable experience in a real-life environment and enjoy unforgettable moments during their first steps in world-class.
The referee project involves the nomination of usually 6 referees who, under the guidance of a lector from a cooperating handball federation, go through the whole tournament. The referees officiate the matches of the age categories that correspond best to their level of experience. For the lector apply most of the benefits as for the referee (accommodation, meals, Activity Card, free public transport).
The tournament organizing team cooperates with a number of federations in Europe, including the national federations of Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Belgium, Luxembourg and the regional federations in Germany. Based on the cooperation with the European Handball Federation, the tournament is also involved in the Young Referee Project.
